Sometimes it’s enough just to slow down for a moment and give your body and mind space to rest. At the PALACE Hotel in Bad Hofgastein, we combine relaxation, traditional treatments and personalised care. Natural fango and radon baths are among the treatments that can form part of a stay focused on health, regeneration and general wellbeing.

Natural volcanic mud

Natural fango – soothing warmth for the body and recovery

Natural fango is a treatment for those who enjoy pleasant warmth and deep relaxation. Warm, moist volcanic mud can help relieve muscle tension and promote a general sense of well-being. The hotel recommends this treatment particularly for back and joint pain.

The pleasant warmth transforms the treatment into a relaxing ritual, offering a moment when you can leave your everyday worries behind.

WE RECOMMEND: A cold fango application is suitable for inflammation and following a knee or shoulder contusion.

Thermal radon bath

A traditional spa treatment using radon water

One of the special features of the PALACE Hotel’s offering is its thermal radon baths. These time-limited baths utilise the natural rare gas radon in very low concentrations.

The first bath serves as a ‘trial’ session. A subsequent course of thermal baths is only possible on the basis of a medical prescription from a spa doctor in Gastein. Guests can enquire individually about the procedure and the conditions for undergoing it.

If you wish to include radon baths as part of a longer health stay, the PALACE Hotel offers treatment programmes lasting 7, 14 or 21 nights. Each individual treatment thus becomes part of a structured stay that combines professional care with time for rest and recuperation in Bad Hofgastein.

OUR TIP: A thermal spa treatment programme for 7 / 14 / 21 nights, half-board, medical examination, 3 / 6 / 10 radon baths.

Massages and relaxation treatments

Relax your body, calm your mind and treat yourself to some pampering

A massage offers an opportunity to pause for a moment and focus on your own body. Depending on your preferred intensity and personal needs, the PALACE Hotel offers a range of massage techniques, including classic massage, aromatherapy massage, foot and leg massage, and reflexology.

OUR TIP: Cupping massage is one of the traditional methods of natural therapy. An ear candling treatment can also be a pleasant, relaxing ritual.
